We are committed to growing team members in becoming more effective and influential in the workplace by fostering emotional intelligence, developing a focused strategy and delivering on coherent actions. Our goal is to support companies and organizations with research-based best practices that build the capacity of leaders and their teams, in order to improve productivity and profitability. We first set out to intentionally understand the organizational landscape in order to align professional learning and individual development to current needs.
We support leaders in uncovering individual assets and opportunities, increasing growth, managing difficult situations, inspiring others and taking action to develop themselves and their teams in becoming top performers. Using our Core Leadership Competencies framework and aligned rubric as a foundation, we offer individual, team and group professional development, strategy development and coaching.
Melissa has been a Leadership Coach for over six years. Prior to coaching, Melissa began her journey as a teacher in Chicago. Her time in the classroom inspired her to pursue school leadership, where she deepened her learning around the concepts behind transformational leadership and was awarded the opportunity to lead, as principal, in two Chicago Public Schools.
Following her experience in schools, Melissa wanted to continue to pursue key competencies in being and building transformational leaders. She received a certificate from Harvard Graduate School of Education in Turnaround Leadership and made the move into leadership coaching.
Much of her time spent with school leaders, district chiefs, network CEOs and state department leads has built her capacity in identifying and delivering support around essential skills and intentional leadership actions that drive progressive transformation.
Melissa earned a B.S. in Elementary Education and Teaching at Indiana University, and as a New Leaders Resident she earned a M.A. in Education Leadership and Supervision from National Louis University.
